Putting the Joy Back into Egypt A New Zealand homeschooling classic (first published in 1983). In many ways this book was years before its time and significantly influenced our own thinking on education. The book is no longer in print and may be hard to get hold of. Reviewed by Mike Woods

Deschooling Society Ivan Illich wrote 'Deschooling Society' in 1971 and yet this book stands the test of time. His concept of 'learning webs' has remarkable similarity with the learning tool provided by the internet. This book is a must read for any serious unschooler! Be warned it is intensely academic.
